Where of where have we been?! We apologize for our absence, but appreciate you hanging around and want to give an update as a start to what we hope will be a continuing journey. In order to do that, let’s go back one year ago.
This week, one year ago, we had welcomed our lovely daughter, Evelyn, into our family through the gift of adoption. After she was placed in our arms we spent three weeks in Hawaii awaiting her passport (rough, I know), returned back to Bangkok with 28 days to pack out our house and our lives and head back to the US. We were able to spend some time with family and friends as we traversed the USA on our way to our new home. We are now stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and absolutely love it. The boys started a new school, Steve started a new job, I got use to having a baby back in the house, we got a dog…Roscoe, and I started an etsy shop that I hope is going to really take off…I have big dreams for that little shop.
We know you have followed along with much of our story and we are prepared now to share many more details, both of our attempted adoption in Thailand and our ultimate adoption of Evelyn through domestic adoption. Her story deserves so much praise and many more words than I am prepared to write in this post, so we will be recapping her story here soon along with some details of our move and some challenges faced along the way. Thank you all who have stuck around even though we have been gone for the last year. We loved sharing our journey with you but adoption is scary and I was terrified if I said anything out loud it would turn on a dime. We hope to now share our story and give a little back to those in need. We are back to blogging and hoping to get some more stuff written down to share with all of you. Stay tuned!
