Hello! We’re Liz and Andy! We live in Green Bay, Wisconsin with our dog, Lucy. We are so happy to be a feature family on Wanderlust and Mayhem! Here’s a little backround about how we met and started our adventure together.
Just as the world of online dating was beginning, the stars aligned with a match and we met in 2007. After a fun first date at Starbucks we were inseparable. After dating for two years, Andy asked Liz to marry him on Valentines Day at sunset on a beautiful beach in Florida. She said yes! We were married in June 2011 at the church we had been attending together in Green Bay.
On a typical weekend, you can find us visiting family or friends, spending time outside, taking our pontoon boat for a ride, hosting a game night or taking a road trip. We love spending time with our nieces and nephew along with our friends’ children.
A couple of years after we were married we began discussing starting a family. Liz mentioned to Andy that adoption had always been something her heart was drawn to. At the time, we both agreed to try having a family on own. After years of attempting to become pregnant and many prayers later, we both agreed that God had, indeed, guided us to adoption. We began looking into several agencies and were really drawn to a local adoption agency. We really liked how their relationships with birth families and adoptive families seemed very personal and unique. In 2018 we signed up to be on a waiting list and were so excited to start our adventure! In Feburary of 2019 we were moved onto the active families waiting to adopt list. And we continue to wait and pray. We believe God placed adoption in our hearts and are so thrilled to be in this journey…to find our miracle. We have been praying for our future child and his/her birth mother. We’ve been so lucky to have such wonderful support from friends and family! We have awesome prayer warriors that keep our hope alive…and can’t wait to see what God has instore for us!

We chose the blue waves because we love to take our pontoon boat out in the summertime. Every year we have a tradition to watch the 4th of July fireworks on the boat!
We chose the dog print because we have a 4 year old shih tzu bichon named Lucy. She’s so much fun and holds a special place in our hearts!
We chose the sunshine print because we love to visit friends and family that live in Florida. We also love visiting Disney World while we’re there!
