One of two amazing families this month. I am excited to introduce you to the Rose family! Our theme this month seems to be finding strength through the challenges life throws at us. I hope you’ll find inspiration in the Rose family’s faith and strength.
Hi! We’re Christopher, Amanda, and we live in Florida with our daughter, Faith. We’ve been together for 17 years. We met in college through mutual friends and it was an immediate connection. We attended the same college and were college sweethearts. We’ve been married for 12 years. We are each other’s best friend, biggest fan and complement each other so well. We’ve been through so much together as a couple and its only made us stronger as a couple and grow in our relationship with Christ.
We went through 8 years of infertility to have our daughter, Faith. We experienced the loss of our daughter’s twin in the first trimester, a preterm delivery and NICU time. Through the infertility journey God did lay adoption our on our hearts. We knew it would become part of our story at some time, we just weren’t sure when. Fast forward to November 2018 and we both felt it was the time to start pursing adoption to complete our family. We’ve always loved kids and wanted a big family. We’ve been in the wait since April 2019. We did match with an expectant mom on the last day of our contract with our adoption consultant. We grew to love her and it seemed to be a perfect fit. On the day we were supposed to bring our daughter home our sweet birth momma decided to parent. Through our failed match we prayed and sought God’s guidance if this was His plan for our lives. We felt God didn’t bring us this far for us to stop pursuing adoption and trying to find our last missing piece to our family. So, we’re still waiting for the expectant momma and baby God has for our family.
We are an active family, we love going to the park, the beach and traveling. We love to laugh together and spend time together. We love to go to historic places so usually when we travel, we find the historic place where we are at. We are huge hockey fans and watching college football.
We’re so thankful for this opportunity Kathleen has offered us to help fundraise our adoption. Adoption is expensive and we always felt God would provide for this journey because this is where He brought us and part of His plan. This is so very helpful to us especially after experiencing a failed match, we lost money we had saved and now have to come up with again. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us with our dream to complete our family.
We chose these bows because pink is Amanda and Faith’s favorite color, they are bright , cheerful and bring a smile to our face. We are very girly girls and love to dress up! We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
